"Pocket Change"

Join the community-wide campaign and collect "Pocket Change" for the Geneva History Center!

We all carry coins around in pockets and purses.  We all find change in drawers, under car seats and even on the street.  GHC volunteer, Mary Jaeger collected over $46 in change in just six weeks and presented a way the entire community can become involved in preserving their local history. The Geneva History Center is asking the community to start collecting "Pocket Change" and donate it to GHC to rebuild our Trust Fund.

GHC has "Pocket Change" canisters available in hopes of having one in every kitchen in Geneva! Stop in and get yours today.  The first canister collection of coins will be in March 2012.  Anyone who returns a "Pocket Change" canister with $25 or more will receive the following:

-A one year membership to Geneva History Center.
-The opportunity to submit a family photo and biographical information to be preserved in our archives.
-An entry into a raffle to win a Kindle.
-The fulfillment of supporting the Geneva History Center and acknowledging it's value to the community.

The State Bank of Geneva has agreed to sponsor this campaign as our official coin counter.  Bring your full canister to the State Bank of Geneva (22 S. Fourth Street) and they will count your coins, deposit the donation into the GHC Pocket Change account and present you with a receipt recognizing your donation for tax purposes.  All names of those who return their full canister by March 31, 2012 will be entered into a drawing to win a Kindle.  State Bank hours are Monday, Tuesday & Thursday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Friday 8:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Saturday 8:30 a.m. to noon.

All donations support the Geneva History Center and are tax deductible
